Basketballs in the Living Room

Twenty-one reflections on family, relationships, the sandwich generation, and life in general that were originally published in the Markham Economist & Sun newspaper.

From an early age, N. J. loved columnists who wrote about life: columnists such as Gregory Clark, Erma Bombeck,  and Gary Lautens. Finally, N. J. got a chance to write a regular column in her local newspaper. The column was called "That's Life!"

N. J. was four years old when she learned that she was adopted, and in her early 50s when she met her birth parents for the first time.

She is currently putting together this memoir, and blogging parts of it here.
